Sean McNulty is a Principal and Co-Founder of XIB Consulting Inc, a Toronto-based capital markets consulting and advisory firm that specializes in the Canadian cannabis industry. With significant experience in mergers and acquisition advisory, institutional equity sales, and event-driven hedge fund management, XIB offers clients corporate consulting services from a unique perspective in the Canadian capital markets. Some of XIB’s corporate clients include Canopy Growth, Cronos Group, Organigram Holdings, and Solace Health.
Prior to co-founding XIB, Sean worked at an asset management firm where he assisted in analyzing and investing a diversified event-driven public and private market security portfolio. Prior to joining the buyside, Sean worked as an institutional equity sales specialist at Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce where he specialized in merger-arbitrage and other event driven hedge fund clients. Prior to his role on the equity sales desk, Sean was part of the Mergers and Acquisitions Investment banking team at CIBC where he advised corporate clients on M&A tactics across a variety of mandate types and industry sectors.
Sean is a CFA Charter holder and graduated as valedictorian at the University of New Brunswick with a BBA, including a double major in Finance and Human Resource Management.
